hello, I'm coming to perth for the summer period and noticed that there is the gravity games on during oct , Nats on late Jan05 and thats it! (on the aksa websight). so is that it ? or is there another websight aside from aksa and waksa, that actually has the kiting events on there? Im sure that the must be other things on... Its the windy city.....

From my regular WA KiteSurf Newsletter:

What’s On:
14-17 Oct 04 Gravity Games H2O Cables, Mosman Beach, Perth gravitygames.waksa.org.au
13-14 Nov 04 SOS Woodies comp sossurf@iinet.net.au
20-21 Nov 04 Gero Blast - Race, Freestyle and Waves @ Point Moore, Geraldton WA www.geraldtonwindsurfclub.com
20-23 Jan 05 AKL Rnd 4 - WA, Triggs, Perth WA Mike Walker 0408 868 231 mwalker@ferntree.com
25-30 Jan 2005 - Australian National Kite Surfing Championship @ Geraldton WA www.waksa.org.au www.aksa.com.au
14-20 Mar 05 International kite event (PKRA or KPWT, TBC) @ Margaret River as part of the Salomon Masters www.salomonmasters.com

I understand that the results from the SOS Woodies and the Gero Blast together with the main events from last season will be used by WAKSA to select the WA team for the Nats.

There was supposed to the Ledge to Lancelin marathon race on Sat 8 Jan 05 but I understand that the windsurfing mafia are excluding kite surfing. They have had a last minute change of heart the last two years so who knows!

Some of the events at http://www.windsurfingwa.org.au/events.php may end up including kiting.

WAKSA are preoccupied with the Nats but maybe Choicey might run another event?

I'm sure they'll be heaps of layback social "events" anyway but if anyone wants to put their hand up to run an event I'm sure it will get heaps of interest.

Hi Everyone,

What about the most fun comp of all.

WindJam...its on the 17th, 18th & 19th Dec at Lanno.

It is a Mambo Style event and if you ask anyone who attended last year, they will all tell you its a great event.
