.Good call. You don't see contemporary windsurfing vids with flat out blasting. They are all freestyle or wave focussed.
pozo had a lot of heart and soul to it this year
"Quickly go mad" Sandy Point speed sailing with a few characters. Great fun to be part of it and telling our story. Sold out the cinema twice and ran them out of beer on the first night.
Cos its WA.....
and the bloody awful music was WA pub bands starting out but the soundtrack was really good in a very (very) Indie kinda way
and when released I'd never sailed any of the spots shown so it was just amazing. Get all choked up now...
West Oz Power
But single best move ever - JP's tweaked one handed aerial at about 37-40sec in Spam. Never seen so twisted and one handed is bloody nuts.
Are youtube edits movies? That's all I've seen. This one is the best, and has some blasting too!

I still remember when I made that. I was sitting in my apartment in Maroubra for about 4-5 days straight editing from 8am-2am. I did that so many times over the years. By the time I finish an edit I'm sleep deprived and malnourished as I hardly stop to eat haha.
I am not saying the Wizards of OZ is my Favourite windsurfing film of all time (probably the opposite) This is a preview for it from back in 2010- Lots of fun shooting and we got a ton of great WA footage.
Loved Johns West Oz Power. Probably because I was in the Gnaraloo wipeout highlights and saw that bug doing his weights session that night under the big tent!
Other than that, whatever the video was of Robbie hooking in at Pipe. Cambers were never seen in my kit again.

There is an interview section in there with John Marshall (who created West OZ Power) as a tip of the hat to that great video.
Probably worth mentioning that i tried to run the gauntlet with music licensing on this one and got dobbed in (the politics of working in the windsurfing industry) and sued to within an inch of my life by a record company. About 120 DVDs made it to market - the rest of the batch of 500 had to be destroyed. So, for any one who has one, as a collectible the DVD might actually be worth a lot of money
Guess I got lucky
1. Rushwind spread the word
2. Instant replay
3. Heart & Soul
4. Robby's Rip
5. Ka1111
There's some good in later ones but they take themselves a bit too seriously. & I did appreciate Andre Paskowski's film making twoforten etc, I think windsurfing lost something special there.
