Does anyone out there know of the availability of the Axis Hybrid foil board range availability in Australia?
Searching around they appear to be out of stock or only available to "pre-order".
I am struggling to find any Oz based reviews on these boards also. Would the Axis Hybrid be a good option coupled with a Foil drive Assist + ?
I am currently riding a Sunova 6"9" 128 litre Aviator Downwind Pro with a Foil drive Assist + & looking to progress to something slightly smaller/less volume with move maneuverability in 2 -3' mellow waves (not point breaking peeling waves).
I don't want to head down a "sinker" prone board path as at 95kgs & 64 years of age I'm not keen on making life too hard.
Currently running Axis HPS 1050 & 980 front wings with 400p & 375p rears.
Any input would be greatly appreciated as demo gear is not available in South Australia.

I was looking at these boards a few months ago. But none available in Australia.

I have a feeling a newer updated model may be out sometime this year.

I've pre ordered one from NZ, apparently they will have them in stock in a few weeks.

They aren't coming to AU as the market is too small for the shipping costs.
Kitepower mentionned that they may place a combined order with some other shops though so hit them up.

I pre ordered from NZ sailing, they ship free to Aus.

Here is a foil drive guy talking about the boards

Island home, Mike at NZ Sailing is great!
The Foil drive boards look great but I think they are ideally for Gen 2 but will still work well with Assist plus.

Just getting wet I think the existing 'hybrid' boards would be awesome for Assist plus
I've recently got a second hand Assist plus and thinking the hybrid board is going to get on foil earlier than my froth, be a good light wind wing board as well

Agree with you 515.
I don't want to upgrade to a FD Gen 2 & the "hybrid" boards look ideal for the Assist +.
Being 95kg & not a hardcore expert, I really don't want to spend the majority of my time struggling to get up on the foil & the Axis " hybrid" looks to me to tick many "big guy" boxes.
Obviously, from the response here, they are going to difficult to get in Australia.

Might head down a Sunova Carver path as a "hybrid" type option - easier to get your hands on & a fair bit cheaper.
Thanks to those who had input to my question.
Cheers

Being 110kgs 6'3"& 68yrs most of the hybrid sizes or volumes are to small for me.So I ordered a Custom Carver from Sunova.6'6"x 22" - 120Ltrs.Still waiting possibly mid June.Looks ok in the plan shape .
Hopefully ticks a few boxes as a big dawg hybrid wing board come Assist + FB board.
