Hi guys,
I've been hearing a few stories of people chopping down their tails, in the region of 1-2cm off the wing tips, with good results.
I've been riding a 21 flow and the 20 carve behind the 150lift. Liking the glide of the carve, it's sensitive in comparison, takes some adjustment. Just Thinking the 21 flow could benefit from being cut in a bit, given its 6cm longer fuse with better leverage scenario. Might gain some glide and still have something to push into when turning. anyone got any thoughts on that?... before I hack into an otherwise good tail ??

Really hard to tell until you do it! If you're running too big a rear (and you are a very small tail) you'll feel a bit nose down when really pushing the upper speed range and like there is an anchor, so removing a bit will give you less lever upwards on the front so your weight will be slightly further back, thus allowing the nose to come up a bit and making less drag. You'll feel faster and less locked in like you probably do with the carve 20. And like the Carve 20, you probably don't have much on the low end/margin stall speed. I'd go with your gut about hacking into a a good tail and get an extension for the Carve, or just go smaller front.
