The 10' and 11' longboards from Kalama Performance look nice?
Has anyone ridden it?
What about the quality?... Kinetic, Cobra, which factory?
Aloha,

Wouldn't think there would be many in the country yet...

I surfed the 9x28 longboard SUP today, my friend's. It's got thin rails, not much rocker, nice brushed carbon, light and looks tough as nails. it was super fun- fast and turned surprisingly well off tail. My friend loves it, he had Imagine 9x28 by Kalama before, new one is big improvement.
I have a 9'2x30x126. Very good construction. Looks very similar if not identical to Infinity. Very light and bullet proof. Great shape for a heavyweight like me (240 pounds). Super stable, turns well, nose rides well. Not a high performance board but very versatile and super fun. And the steal at that price.

I'm happy to hear they have a flat rocker,as imo the old imagine boards had way to much rocker,I never surfed one just an observation,my comment is based on needing a board that paddles well, stoked to hear about the construction though ,looking forward to seeing one in person.

Yeah my friend felt same way about the rocker and the new Kalama has 10L less volume and is way lighter than the Imagine, kind of felt better in every way. I'm fired up to try this board again.
Not that it matters, but the I dig the look, they didn't sand the paint back as much so the brushed carbon look is kind of understated.
They sure do look impressive and after 15 years of experience playing around with different shapes Dave would of nailed this one!
Construction wise you can't go wrong with kinetic factory carbon pvc wrap light and bullet proof and tested over time
I'm frothing to get mine in a couple of months will give feedback on 10/28 & 9'2/30 when they arrive

I have the older 9'8" x 29 and yes, has lots of rocker however combined with rails that thin out a good bit towards the tail, it does make it easier to turn and definitely an advantage in a beach break. Bit harder to get on to fat rollers though.
Anyone got a website link for the new boards?
Price?
Hoppo prices are on the Kalama /AU website,a bit disappointing no fins supplied! As that can be An extra $150-200,it seems they are infinityUSA quality, but definitely cheaper, even with the added expense of fins ,but most of us have plenty of fins laying around not being used so still a pretty good deal, hanging out to see / feel one in person
Yep still waiting since Sept for the 10x28... But I believe it will be worth the wait! The boards are on the water and should be here in May.
Dylan Henry is my contact in Newcastle (SUP Newcastle). He is the Australian Distributor for Go Foil and Kalama Performance.... and a good bloke to boot.
With Covid everything is delayed.
I think pricing is very good compared to anything in that high end construction in carbon $500 cheaper than infinity
Dylan is a great bloke to deal with

The new toy has arrived: 10x28.(Compared side by side with the Starboard Longsup 9x26).It's very light. Construction feels very similar to Infinity. I hope the flex is also as good.
Rocker line looks great.
I fox, NICE ,looking forward to a ride review!,the deck pad on the rail on the first photo makes the rocker look weird ,I know it's an illusion, but the rocker looks old school 3 stage ! IMO that's a good thing,
