Anyone tried these? I generally prefer to surf barefoot but am thinking of getting a pair of these to protect the feet when surfing the reefs.

Hey Mick, I use a pair when I kitesurf in the bay. TBH, they don't live up to the advertising. If you do buy a pair though, get one or two sizes below your shoe size. I'd consider going in to Baines Crs and seeing if there's any Rip Curl reef booties on sale, or those ones listed above by Flowmaster. They look pretty good to me.
Those look like a pair of hiking shoes, so I cannot see how they can work for surfing, or any other board sports, apart from sup touring. I would try a pair of Rip Curl reef booties (mentioned above), or O'Neal. They look the same and are probably made in the same factory.
I am not sure if they are available in AUS, but if they are, I would try out a pair of Wetty booties. They are amazing.
I bought a pair of winter booties online from needsessential. They were inexpensive at $70 and are a perfect fit as I used their sizing chart. Really good quality and comfort. They do the standard reef boot and if my purchase is anything to go by I'm sure they will be great value.
Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll give these a miss then, need essentials make excellent wetties. I'll give them a try, didn't realise they made booties
