Have your say on Boat Safety (WA)
A second round of consultation has commenced as the Department reviews the safety equipment required for recreational vessels (e.g. boats, personal water craft, sailboards etc.) on all WA waters, including inland waterways, rivers and lakes. This is the first review since 1992 - over 25 years ago.
The DoT looked into 1,200 submissions from the discussion paper released on March 2017, and the result is the Recreational Vessel Safety Equipment Review Position Paper, which talks about what might change outlining specific proposed changes.
Now's your chance to have your say on the proposed changes via the DoT website.
