A Masters Degree in Life, by Traveling the World Kiting
Sam Medysky is a kiteboarder that we once described as having a "moustache of magnitude, and a heart of gold." He travels the world as a freerider for his sponsors, occasionally competing in wakestyle events when the time and motivation is right. You've seen him ride, and you've heard his thick Canadian accent in more than a few kite movies, but never before have you heard a kiteboarder go so deep into what the sport means to them.
"I didn't go to university, I feel that through travel I've been able to learn so much about the world and meet so many different people from all walks of life. That on its own, for me, is education."
Medysky chose to explore the country he grew up in, for his latest kite movie - TransCanada. Travelling 5000km across the country to Squamish, British Columbia, he packed his stuff, grabbed a guy with a camera and set off on an epic road trip.
Watch his adventure, and hear why kiteboarding is such a special sport for those who love, live and breath it, right here.
