Kite attempts to end Mr Schuester's acting career (Glee)

"The kite was THIS big!" says Mr Schu...
Kiteboarding really is a sport that anyone can do, it's easy, safe and largely incident free with modern equipment. Mr. Schuester from TV's 'Glee' however, seems to be more adept at reading lines on a script, not on the water…

So we had raised eyebrows when we read this article about poor Mr Schu from Glee, who ‘almost died’ from getting caught up in some kite lines. Or ‘cords’ as he called them…

Here’s what he had to say: “I tried kitesurfing, and I nearly died. The cord that goes around the kite somehow got wrapped around my neck, and the kite was going so fast and was dragging me underwater!

"I thought I was going to die,” he continues. “Eventually, the kite dipped down in the water and released the tension on my neck. It was one of the scariest moments of my life."

Hopefully he’s probably being a little dramatic, or was taking lessons from an inexperienced instructor. It’s very unlikely that this would ever happen! With modern gear and a little bit of common sense, getting kite lines around your neck takes some serious skill. If there's pressure on the lines, they're well away from your body.    Maybe he had a
bit of seaweed around his neck while he was body dragging?

We wish him all the best, and sincerely hope he's ready to give the
sport another go .. we couldn't find any instances of anybody being
strangled by kite lines...

and we must warn Glee fans, the following article contains subject material that you may find disturbing…
