The biggest race event to hit Australia?
Then, out of the blue came this! The IKA major stop for Australia, dubbed the Kiteracing Oceanic Chapionships. Held over in WA, at the iconic Leighton Beach (in a very convenient time which coincides with the Lighthouse to Leighton event too!) it's sure to be one massive competition between Australias fastest riders and the rest of the world.
Currently, our major contenders Marvin, Jordan and Dave (to name a few) are trekking around the world in pursuit of glory on the IKA world tour. Last week they were in San Francisco mixing it up with the worlds fastest racer. This week, they're in Bonaire and after that, who knows where they're headed! You can bet your sheep-station that they'll all be in WA this December though, along with the rest of the worlds gear heads and media.
You can find out all the information and NOR on their website here. Stay tuned close to the event for updates on who the favorites are, what gear they'll be riding and of course all the results, photos and action from the event as it happens.
In the meantime, check out the pre-event banter in the Kite Racing Forums here
