Lord of the Light Winds. The Ozone Team in NZ
Lord of the light winds!
Ok ok, corny word-plays aside, check out this incredible footage of Team Ozone playing in New Zealand on their new Chrono and Edge Kites! The stunning footage of the Northern Island features blue water and the lightest of winds, perfect for some foilboarding and raceboards. The crew have a great time getting up close to each other, trying some raceboard jumps and working out how to ride a foil in a graceful manner.
Then, with a little more wind, it’s time for what the Edge does best, some big boosts, a little freestyle and even a board-off or two. All the while, that world famous New Zealand scenery is in the background, complete with snow covered mountain-tops.
It’s the same on the south island, where the boys head to next for what seems like a case of deja-vu. 5 knots, 5 degrees, and to top it all off, Wet wetsuits, the worst feeling known to man-kiter. First a light wind session, then they pump up the 8’s and go boosting. What a life. Did we mention these two are world champs too?
It really makes us wonder why New Zealand isn’t on the map of great kiting locations. Being so close to Australia and all, maybe it’s time for an invasion on the kiwi’s?
