Dog love SUP even when it's a little 'Ruff'.

"These two dog love hanging paw!"
If you've ever watched a clip of some dogs surfing on a stand up paddle board, chances are you have witnessed the greatness that is Chris De Aboitiz and his faithful hounds Max, Murph, Rama and Millie. Normally hanging out in his hometown of Noosa, Chris is the star of the annual Noosa Festival of Surfing's Dog Surfing Compeition (which is coming up soon!), as well as being 'that guy everyone knows' in the lineup.

Right now he's down in Sydney for his business 7 News caught up with him as he treks down the East Coast showing off his skills, and encouraging others to try getting their dogs out on Stand up paddle boards. He says that training dogs is easy, it's the owners that he has difficulty with! The training's the hard part when it comes to convincing your dog that it's a good idea to get on a stand up paddle board with you. In their eyes, there's balls to chase, butts to sniff and then of course there's that whole business of you being in control of them, on a big floaty board in the middle of the ocean.

Watch the great little clip of Chris De Aboitiz SUP surfing with his dogs, and if you have a pup of your own here's a few great tips that will help speed up the process of turning your dog into a little shredder.
