Even Keahi Crashes - Wipeout Reel from the Noosa Champ

"To become the world stand up paddle surfing champ, one must cop a few on the head..."
A wise man once said, 'To become the world stand up paddling champ, one must cop a few on the head.' At least he probably said that, and if he didn't, Aussie SUP icon 'Dogman' sure would have. Him and Keahi have been mates for years, travelling the Australian coastline in search of epic waves and cans of Milo.

But while traveling around with Keahi, Dogman and whoever happens to be behind the camera at the time witnessed some great wipeouts. Of course Keahi wipes out all the time, who wouldn't when you're trying aerials and barrels and the oh-so-famous dishpan slide?

Right now Keahi is out of action, after going down in Hawaii last week and dislocating his shoulder. Luckily, it's not as bad as his knee injury a few years ago which put him out of the running for the world title, he'll be back in the water soon.

"Was stoked to get a couple big barrels yesterday before I fell with my arm extended and popped my shoulder out." Explained Keahi after the incident, "Good news is no bone damage but it's going to be a little time out of the water for me unfortunately. Definitely the worst pain I have ever experienced until it went back in at the hospital about 45 minutes later."

Here's a few minutes of stand up paddling wipeouts from Keahi De Aboitiz, the home grown world champ and all round waterman from Noosa.
