Four Aussie SUP events you can't miss this summer.
The Merimbula Classic.
One of Australia’s biggest SUP event for the last few years running, is the Merimbula Classic is the stuff legends are made of. As much about the parties (and the BBQ) as it is about the paddling, Merimbula hosts hundred of paddlers for one action packed weekend in late November.
This year there will be no less than three novelty races, a surfing comp, a serious race or two and of course one of the biggest demo opportunities on the east coast. Throughout the event our Stand Up Paddling forums are buzzing with up to the second information on what’s going, so if you can’t make it, live vicariously through our fellow stand up paddlers here.

The journey takes premium riders around an hour and a half. With great sponsors, and a great team behind it, the King Of the Cut is an event attacting the best paddlers in the world.
It has the largest prize purse ever offered for a SUP event in the Southern hemisphere and has attracted 7 of the world top ten paddlers – Travis Grant, Angie Jackson, Beau O’Brian, Zane Schweitzer, Jake Jenson, Paul Jackson, Karla Gilbert. This is a truly SUP event, run by volunteers and the SUPWA community. No profits going to event companies, just grass roots!
