Paddlers still surfing though the USA's coldest winter ever.

"There is a brotherhood when it's really cold."
You might have heard about America enduring their coldest winter ever recorded, which would automatically mean staying on dry land for most stand up paddlers. Especially the Queenslanders!

So when we found these shots of some enthusiastic stand up paddlers going surfing with a water temp of 0 degrees, we simply had to share.

0 degrees! The outside air temp was -4 degrees, and instead of sand on the beach, that is snow. Thick blankets of snow that buried half the country this week, freezing lakes and even entire bays! Cape Cod bay was frozen solid for 30 miles, and yet still, stand up paddlers went surfing.

Granted, the waves were good. 3-4ft beachies with a select crew of diehards in the lineup.

So cheer up, summer might be officially over, but it’s certainly better than this!
