Surf FX throws down the gauntlet
It’s just a simple shop tour video, giving Jon (their main SUP man) a chance to show the world the Surf FX store on the Gold Coast. For those who have visited the store in person, it’s no surprise that it’s literally choc-a-block full of stand up paddling gear, but for those who haven’t, prepare to have your mind blown.
There’s walls full of Naish stand up paddle boards, racks full of Starboards. Paddles (they say over 400!) line the roof, and leggys! They’ve got leggy’s coming out of the whazoo. Logos from more stand up paddle brands than you can think of are peeking out from every corner of the store, and that’s just what you can see in the walkthrough video.
Don’t mind the staff Jon pushes past to film the video, they simply drop by the store to help out with all the gear. Dave Kalama probably won’t last long, he’s sweeping the floor very a very expensive broom, and Beau Nixon seems to think a tissue is going to clean wax of his board. Rookies.
It’s a fun video, and by posting such a clip on the stand up paddling forums, Surf FX has thrown down the gauntlet to Australia’s stand up paddling stores. Who has the best store in Australia, and who can make the best walkthrough video?
