And you thought you’d seen it all… Nuh uh, no way, you’ve never seen this before! Imagine a surfer having the skills to fall off his surfboard, body surf the same wave, then catch his surfboard as it flicks out of the whitewater to simply get back on and ride it again…

Well that’s what you’re about to see. No bull, it happened, and some guy caught it on video.

This seemingly impossible stunt was performed by the now known as Mikey ‘Miracle’ Wright (Owen Wrights younger brother) while surfing at Lakey Peak, a well known break halfway up the South Coast of Sumbawa. Shot by Surfing Australia’s National Coach; Andy King and posted on Instagram, the video has now clocked up over a million hits. Of course many are crying fake, in total disbelief that such a thing could really happen, but Mikey is claiming it like the legend he is.

What’s the bet you’ll see grommies at your local break trying to imitate this one for years to come? Give it a try next time you’re out surfing, it’s probably just as difficult as it looks!
