Storm Troopers Surf Tidal Bore Near Movie Set

Filming Star Wars here brought with it a huge boost in tourism, and it's also spread Star Wars mania around town faster than a flock of Gundarks from Vanqor
As the 'starmadgeddon' looms (in fact, at the time of writing, Star Wars Episode VII is released tonight!), the entire world is going crazy with everything Star Wars. You name it, and there's been some kind of merchandise created to cash in on what might be the biggest movie release ever. But if you had suggested that there were surfing storm troopers on a tidal bore, a few kilometers from where the movie was filmed, we might have called you crazy instead!

It's real though, these five blokes dressed head-to-toe in some pretty awesome Star Wars Storm Trooper outfits decided to celebrate the movies release, and their local cities part in it's creation, by surfing the Severn Bore. Tucked away near Gloucester in the Uk is a place called the Forest of Dean. Here, key scenes from the new Star Wars Episode VII movie were filmed, including many shots from the several trailers released in the leadup to the 17th December. Filming here brought with it a huge boost in tourism, and it's also spread the Star Wars mania around town faster than a flock of Gundarks from Vanqor.

Surfing storm troopers? Sure, why not! Check them out below.
