It's winter in Hawaii and that means it's surf season. Fiji's flat, Australia is blown out, the US is about to get annihilated by the El Nino cycle and all the professional surfers in the world are looking forward to their annual hang-out at the sponsors place. In most cases, that means Oahu, where the big brands like Volcom, Billabong etc all own houses on a stretch of coastline on the Northshore. It's called the Seven Mile Miracle. Right now it's going off.

Sunset beach, Waimea Bay, Pipeline… You've heard of them, every surfer has, and these three beaches are all within 7 miles of each other on the Kamehameha Highway. In winter, the swell rolls in and shortly after, so do the pro's, filling their sponsors houses until some poor guy ends up sleeping in the bathtub. This week, photographer Andrew Christie was hanging out in the Volcom house, and snapped some incredible pictures along the seven mile miracle. The most remarkable being a shot of three photographers suspended in a wave face, trying for 'that' shot of John John Florence as he tucks into a double overhead barrel.

Check it out below, and stay tuned for more epic footage from the island of Oahu, and the winter season kicks into gear.
