Surfing a Sumo: One VERY Unorthodox Surf Craft.
You might have seen something called a Sumo being towed around a lake behind a boat Perhaps you've seen one at the local BCF, or something like it. If not - that's cool, you're about to. They're like a GIANT life jacket, in which you have no control over direction, speed or, well, anything really.
These three took them out into some solid surf on a nasty, rainy day; and it looks amazing!
Imagine hurtling down the face of a wave, head first with your arms stuck inside a big inflatable thing. You can kind of steer with your feet, but mostly, you're going along for the ride. (No, we're now talking about body boarding)
