The Galaxy Surfboard - a stick that can read your messages

One of a kind, or the start of something BIG?
With each release of a new smart phone, they grow bigger and bigger. Soon, we'll be able to bolt a set of fins to them and go for a surf. Oh wait... Samsung just released a surfboard smartphone! Yep, they did. Granted, it's a one off prototype meant more to promote their brand by using the surfing legend that is Gabriel Medina right now. Brazilians are going crazy over him, and anything he endorses; so if they released this thing for real - Medina fans would buy it. But would Aussie surfers want a board that can read you text messages while you're out the back? Probably not...

We all laughed when surfers started bringing MP3 players out on the water, and we all know a guy who brings his out to every session now! Messages are just the start too, this surfboard can tell you what the wind and swell was doing 10 minutes ago by tapping into the weather station feeds. We're not sure if you will ever see a surfboard that reads your messages at the local lineup. But if you do... Would you want to give it a go?
