Description by Greg M (organizer) 20 finished the Oct 19, 2024 Winduro. And they all finished in under 5 1/2 hrs. This is EPIC & has never happened before!!! Many years we've had a total of 10-15 racers. And almost always, there are 2-4 who finish in the 6-9hr range. So THIS was an amazing day with an amazing group of sailing athletes:) And yes, we know there are a handful more, that would've LOVED to be there & part of this awesome adventure! 1h27 - Darius 165# 8.5 sail 1h37 - Nikolay 169# 7.0 sail 2h05 - Plamen 175# 8.5 sail 2h17 - Brian F 155# 7.0 sail (mislabeled 2h05 in video) 2h17 - Brendan 145# 6.0 wing 2h18 - Brian K 200# 7.5 sail 2h21 - Steve S 145# 6.0 sail 2h26 - Mats 165# 8.5 sail 2h35 - Greg 190# 8.5 sail *2h55 - Mark D 158# 8.5 sail * 2h55 - Stefan 180# 8.5 sail 3h00 - Frank 185# 9.0 sail 3h05 - Jon P 185# 7.5 sail 3h15 - Nir 185# 9.0 sail 3h40 - Tuu 210# 6.0 sail 4h21 - Thomas 175# 8.0 wing 4h28 - Dan O sr 182# 7.5 sail 4h30 - Peli 202# 8.3 sail 4h40 - Jeff T 170# 7.0 wing (missing in video!) 5h21 - Troy 170# 8.5 sail Honorable Mention - Very proud to have these 5 sailors with us. And every one of them 'could finish' with some combination of: a little more practice, fine-tune their gear, pick a smaller sail, more fitness. DNF = did not finish. This is no big deal, I've had 2 DNF's out of the last 15 Winduros. And, most people do NOT finish the Winduro the first time they try it. DNF - Morgan 190# 8.0 wing *DNF - Sevena 6.2 sail * DNF - Herbie 207# 8.2 sail DNF - John McC 195# 8.5 sail DNF - John MaK 215# 9.0 sail *Mark is 68 & a long distance sailing legend. Are there any 70 yr olds who could do the Winduro? AND Mark's time includes 13 mins helping to rescue Stefan! Thank you, Mark! *Sevena - Yay, for 1 woman attempting this challenge, we need more:)
