I have done some really ****ed up stuff in Bali woohoo, great place, Iam usually real nice to the locals except for the time i got punched in the chin by one.
Cisco went in 74 and didnt even like it jeezus christ thats the golden age of uluwatu but you didnt go to uluwatu did you.
For the chiluns these days its a rite of passage to get that stamp in the passport and who can blame them.
And i got about 40 hrs worth of real tattoo work in bali, just had a blood test recently and Iam disease free.

I just rode my bicycle up and down my driveway without my helmet. Saved myself an airfare and a weeks accommodation.

I did a bit of that back in the day too.
Also drew patterns on my arm with pen.

Didn't realise just how hard core cool our primary school days were hey

Seen lots of funny things tattooed this year in Indo. This one was a German fella who had his face put on his asse cheek. Photo does not do the creation justice. He had another one on his magic stick but I did not take a pic of that

I bet he is glad he went for the real deal. A blistering would have been pretty uncomfortable. I also saw a pretty robust lady with her calves inked - one was the parts of a pig and the other a cow. Weird.

The chick had something similar to one of these on each calf muscle. They were matching in style and done fairly professionally but if u ask me they looked terrible. But each to their own

There are things you can do in OZ you cant do in Bali.
I got offered pot while in Bali.....diddnt take the offer as common knowledge....will end up bad
In OZ I would have taken it in a heart beat.

Years ago my brother and two of his mates got messed up pretty badly from these Bali henna tattoos. They were both about 16 at the time and it took months for my brother's to heal and a lot longer for his mates. If memory serves me correctly one of his mates made the news 10+ years ago.

I've been to Bali 8 or 9 times i guess and it really is a ****hole. People think the locals love us but they really don't. The majority simply see tourists as walking ATM's and treat us accordingly. You might think your well travelled and cultured because your driver took you to meet his family in the village but really he just wants more money.

starting to slide off topic a bit...........

Mocha - were you there when we were messing around with a parachute?

A couple of us visited our favourite toy shop [Wellington Surplus] and bought / scammed a time expired parachute and harness with a bag full of coins [bottle deposits], We took it to school, strapped a volunteer unknowing crash test dummy into it and tied the harness to a loooong rope.

A combination of around 20 kids towing + the seabreeze resulted in an airborne kid who wasnt looking forwards to the eventual landing.
We were chuffed, teachers were either $hitting themselves seeing what we were up to [this time ] or pretty damn impressed.

Headmaster and a couple of other teachers came running down to spoil our fun - with one teacher giving us a stern lecture, while we were giggling like schoolkids and pointing at the headmaster, who was behind her putting on the harness and organising his turn
A few minutes later the boss was up in the air.

As for dodgeball - I copped a few hits in the shins - and can still feel the lumps

I try and forget the times I got trashed at British Bulldog,

It's a fun game - but never ended well if you were one of the last ones on the run and eventually got stomped on by 8765659786 kids.
[sometimes it doesnt pay to be a fast runner]

Left Sorrento for Greenwood - no idea how I managed to survive that place.

At the time was flying gliders and at the field we found funny to attach an chute to a VW beetle on a windy day while the owner was having a rest in it, we the chute was lifting the front of the car and dropping it from 1m making the gear to come out sending it running down the air strip....... luckily the owner woke up and applied the break.
Did we cope some swearing......

My travel experiences are rather limited but i've never really experienced that elsewhere. Sure, i've been stung by the gladiators outside the Colosseum and places like Waikiki on Oahu are geared heavily towards tourism but money isn't everything. The last few times i went to Bali i felt the difference was that many of them simply saw us for our money and nothing else.

Why would anybody get tatts in the first place?? No matter where or who does them there is always the risk of infection.

Oh, sorry. Tatts are trendy and politically correct these days aren't they??

Roger

And going to a third world country cos it is cheap, then getting tatts, sunnies, drinks (full of methanol , BJ's etc reallly cheap
and complain about the result
WTF?
I fail to see the attraction in going to Bali, I really do.

Bali is great, it's just the drunk Aussie bogans that ruin it.

I worked and lived in the pacific islands. in more than one country and i will be the first to admit our country men and ladies don't do us proud? i cant remember the amount of times i'v wanted to shrink into the sand! and working for a very large tourist provider i can confirm the shallow end of the pool needs chlorine!!!!!

It's an interesting word in the English language, the normally reversing " un" doesn't apply . A raveller does the same job as an unraveller.
