Something like the Naish 10'6" Nalu would be good.

Air5 try forums -> stand up paddle -> general. You'll get more response.

My advice would be go cheap to begin with. You'll most likely end up buying more than one or wanting something slightly different to your first. Better to start with a cheapie or 2nd hand and work your way up.

What do you intend doing with it exactly??? Regular fitness paddling, longer paddles, how good is your balance/have you done any similar paddle/surf/balance sports before. Lots of variables.

One characteristic will usually trade off for another (eg a wider board will be more stable but slower on average than a narrower board).

Better getting a "cheap" (ie lower than RRP) second hand brand-name board (Starboard, Naish, Fanatic, JP) rather than a new "cheap and nasty" (ie heavy and poorly made from day one) board.

Thank you clarence, i actually own one of the twin hulled kayaks, its good for paddle practice and stable to learn on.
Good for one footers and no danger to people in the line up.
Ballina river would be good for it in a bit of swell.
