Was at the library today sitting on an expensive looking computer chair for just under two hours. It felt very comfortable.

Trouble was when it came time to get up I was struggling like never before, especially my back.

Then I had to try and get out the building crutches and all.

All of two minutes plus to move only 20 metres. Librarian asked me if I'm ok.lol.

Not sure if we were designed to sit for long periods.

Lying on a bed for 10 hours I feel OK afterwards.

The straight back very uncomfortable looking adjustable medical chair that I have borrowed from the hospital has turned out to be one of the best tools for my recovery. My back has never got tight sitting on it even after sitting for a few hours.

I have it set high so my feet don't touch the ground allowing me to do various leg exercises including swinging my legs.

After today's experience I am seriously thinking of buying one after I recover.

Should be obvious, it's where you study conspiracy theories.

But you're right Pete, chairs ain't just chairs

I know next to nothing on this conspiracy theory stuff suffice say to say I believe the conspiracy theorists among us are likely to cause even more damage to our mental health.

Why can't someone make a car seat with decent lumbar support ?Doesn't what car (my own, friends, relatives, newish hire cars) I can only last an hour before my back stiffens up and I get pains down my legs. Bad enough I have to stop, get out, and stretch. Car seat maker conspiracy?

My old holden surfwagon has adjustable lumbar support, I can drive all day in that without a problem, 3 return trips across the Nullabor attest to that

Same thing happened to me. Turned out it was a disc in my spine that had exploded. Get it checked out

Did your disc explode due to mini-nukes or nano-thermite?

I blew $1,300 on my chair.

Why? Because I sit on it every day, for up to 10 hours. I'll continue to do this for decades. There is no other item I am going to use as often, and it affects my health.

The Herman Miller (of course) Embody.

It is simply the best chair I've ever used. You adjust it for your size and weight that you can rock and twist slightly all day.
I think I actually feel better after sitting in it all day, than not.

5/5
