I will keep posting updates. I will put up some photos as well.

Glad you have already made some positive progress, as I said in my post, given the information you have given it is only reasonable that you get a chance to prove your situation and the dogs temperament. As I said, understandable that a council officer might make a bad call, inexcusable if it is not fixed before irreversible damage is caused.

As for pet peeves, it was FormulaNova stating a pet peeve, I simply engaged in an interesting conversation as it is a topic Im interested in. As such, I presume your relevant response is for him!

All good Coastar....and all in a days work...literally - lets me avoid work I am supposed to be doing...

Plus Rails provided the original act link, I just helped point out bits....

I hope all goes well, otherwise it might be a permanent move down to Wello ...we are Redlands City here and I suspect a much more relaxed approach to this sort of thing than BCC....

public servant so also consider it just a part of the job....
... the other good thing about public service are the flex-hours, looks like a beach lunch today

UPDATE.
With the overwhelming support from this group, local contacts, bureaucratic process & legal principles I have had the the Regulation & Compliance Supervisor to come to my house today. We discussed the issue frankly, he met the culprit & assessed my enclosure and with only a few minor improvements to be completed over the weekend. Passing a follow up inspection they are willing withdraw the Remove or Destroy Order and issue a Notice to Remedy (the first step I had not been offered). Happy to comply & hope to clear the slate with the complainant, directly or indirectly.

I don't pretend it is finished, this is his last chance and I'm responsible for that eventuality. I could not have achieved this outcome without the pointers from (the inside man) Rails and Legal Eagle Paradox as a special mention. As a country fella (not too far west of you Rails) reasonably new to Brisbane I didn't expect much and prepared for the worst but the support from complete strangers is phenomenal. Many industry professionals all offered Pro Bono assistance if I took the stand. With this virtual army behind me, I stated our case, citing the Act and local Council regulations in a friendly, cooperative manner to prove due process had not been followed. To his credit, the supervisor was easy to speak with and his recommendations were even more lenient than the steps I was prepared to take.

Because of this I don't really want to name and vilify individuals because this could have been and I was prepared for much worse. I see it as an opportunity because I made the first mistake. However, the most distressing part for me and many of the professionals I spoke with, most won't fight due to the associated cost, unfortunate but completely understandable. Most likely, quite a few of our furry friends are condemned to the Big Farm, guilty of the offense but not responsible for the action, how many suffer the same fate on suspicion or overreaction. If they knew what support is out there if they just asked. Amazing, crazy and unforgettable.

My boy didn't choose me or to live in the city. Due to the kindness of strangers, I get the chance to take him back to this life he deserves.

Yeah mate. He'll get his bone as a moral support reward. A couple of very late nights, I now know a stupid amount about the Animal Management Act, BCC Local Laws and Legislation, case studies and precedents and he was there beside me listening to my ramblings. I look at him and grin thinking "you'll never know" but then remember he will do the same for me from the day I bought him home to the day we part company. Cheers!

Nice looking Dog Coastar...glad it has worked out.

Whilst happy to take some assistance credit with others I might suggest that your balanced and considered approach to the problem was probably the main reason for success. Unfortunately too many people go into these issues carrying an axe to battle and end up getting offside the only people who can actually help them - ie the council officers.

Well done and good luck.
