Ryobi 1100w electric will cut the dogs legs off if you're not careful !! Works a treat and when the line feeder head thingy pooped itself I got a generic one from Bunnings for very little dollars and it works even better now. Self feeds and everything now !!!

Prevention is better the cure Mark. My previous house in town had busted retic so the lawn never got a drink from it in 12 months, the lawn wasn't exactly lush and green but it was alive and healthy. The house I'm in now, I turned the retic off back around February and the property manager commented how well I'm looking after it only last week.

Rainfall here is close to perfect, not drowning the lawn with more water easily reduces my time on gardening by about 2/3's.

Hey Marky MarkBunnings, they are 150 bucks and perfect for the quarter acre suburban gardener. Top that off with a Ryobi 2 stroke blower vac for about the same price. There's no need to go the expense of a Stihl although they are very good if you want to go that way.
Remember the lawn at Lano, serviced w
Go the Ryobi 2 stroke neighbour annoyer from ith cheap sh#t Bunnings 2 stroke motors.
Gold....
Still missing Lano after 2 years how are you guys coping!!

The Ryobi + One range has a whip snip and a blower/vac.

I am sick to death of my Victa 2 stroke whip snip. Mixing fuel, pulling the plug and cleaning it, yanking on the start line. Just a total pain.

If you buy the new brushless drill, hammer drill, adjustable torque driver as your starter kit, it comes with a 2.5 mah and a 5 mah battery instead of the usual 1.5 and 4 mah batteries.

I think Ryobi have really taken the lead with this gear. Yes it is home DIY stuff, so let's not compare it with the commercial grade gear that costs 3 or 4 times the price.

Little juey works pretty well. Not perfect, bit of a learning curve, but I wouldn't go back to bump feed.

Macro your assumption is a bit wrong, the pre cut lengths are super tough and don't break or shorten quickly, however you have to use it at full revs otherwise they melt/ snap off at the head. Bit counter intuitive. You can thread 2 lengths so you have 4 cutting lines.

The fat square nylon chord that I bought from the $2 shop a few weeks ago is so much better than the specialty whippersnipper chords that I've been paying $15 for years from places like bunnings.

I love my 2 stroke, it makes so much noise. I'm always hoping I've got the fuel mixture right, and it gives me a sweat starting it up. I love reving it to full pelt - 2 stroke for me is like the equivalent sound of a gurgling V8 muscle car. Electric is for pussys.

Years ago I studied marketing, they invented a silent lawnmower - obviously it didn't sell. The reason is that men buy these things and the noise the lawnmowr makes is about the idea that men have about being able to tame the environment.

So Mark, how is that Mardi Gras float coming along?

Pussy hey, I challenge you to a dual with your stinker. I will put my high voltage battery pack on my limp wristed girly whippersnapper and run it at 7kW, yes that's 7 big ones. Then I will throw away the nylon and put on the metal blade and you can do your lawn while I go and cut down small trees.
Then we will see who has hair on their chest.

Definately a 240v corded one for that amount of use.

If anyone is going for a motor snipper, you cannot beat the 4 stoke honda's....brilliant. had mine 5 years now and still goes first start....only thing i've ever done is changed the oil when needed.
