So if I ride my MTB to the ocean down the local down hill track to the headland with a fishing rod tied to me handle bars and catch a Kingy off the rocks then drag it home and cook it up into a feast for the family we could then have a cooking forum ???

Oh oh if I took a spear gun we could add a forum for that

We have a windsufering forum and boogie boarders and goat boaters are more legit water sports than them, so I guess, yeah why not.

We need a forum to say that this fish can not be released back into the water

Then like other fishing forums, have a massive fight over catch and release vs keeping

Hi Bazz61, I haven't tried the sea salt thanks for tip. Yes brown sugar and smoked with manuka chips.
Kawaii get a bad wrap from some but bleed them and smoked they are great
Yes I like snapper but kawaii are great fighting fish and trolling is easy behind sailing cat.

Most of the time they are eaten as soon as they are smoked but if you have plenty left over we poach in milk, add some corn flower and serve on toast - that's my lunch

Kahawai cevieche : bled, diced fillets cured in coconut milk, habanero and lime zest.

Has to be bled immediately and cured within the hour.

otherwise it's a trusty bait for puka.
