Looking around for a new surf wagon and finding, vans, utes pretty boring. WA has an unfortunate jobs downturn so alot of interesting cars are up for sale for not big money. Got me searching for classic inappropriate wagons and hit upon old Rolls Royce. Few up for sale starting at $10k
use a strap on rack around the bonnet and reckon 3x 6ft surf boards fit easy, 2x Kite board on a boot rack & kite plus wetties in the huge boot long with waeco & wicker picnic basket. 3x SUP or longboards on roof. Leather interior great for wiping clear of sand and seawater. Rear seating area large enough for changing room and as overnight bed. Lovely thick pile carpet to sooth bare feet with reef cuts. Air suspension for gliding over the red dirt roads, Lots of space for stickers. Only issue i see is the parking space required and the fuel.. Have to put a bikini on the flying lady bonnet ornament.

Strap yourself in if you need parts for it tho, they get expensive fast when something goes wrong. Brakes

Reckon its not utilising all that boot or bonnet space enough. Body boards will fit bonnets and kite stuff on boot. But its not really cool is it..A35 where never cool.

I'd love to see some tasteless mags on a roller, maybe a foxtail on the antenna and a dog with a bobbing head on the back shelf. ??
And roof racks!

Comically trolling.... it's hardly a pig is it... I won't say it looks good as our Skoda owning friend is lurking

It's virtually the Passat... VW parts are a pain in the arse and super expensive... if you let it get that old before flogging it to some poor sod... Outback all the way for me... very good value for the money...

Any Mitsubishi would qualify as inappropriate in my view. Look at the Delicate. Even the last two letters fall off before it leaves the factory.

I don't think they are good looking, but that's a personal thing.

Not sure where you get your VW bits from but it's what I do for a living, parts for VW, Mits, Ford, Hyundai, Kia etc

VW parts are readily available and not that expensive compared to other brands.

Outbacks are ok, Skoda looks better imo but thats just my thoughts. I personally wouldn't own either.

Personally I don't think you can go past a Hilux. People will have different ideas but for reliability and parts availability you can't beat them imo. You will get a lemon in any brand, I particularly like the 4.0 V6 petrol. I have a 2WD single cab ute with one in and it's a great motor.

ok Rolls it too expensive to run so jag xls. Take off the soft roof and windsurf boards will fit from the boot and over the back seats. Short surfboard fit on bonnet. Roof area useful to stand and spot the waves , or hold a couple of kite boards. V12 speed to rush down to margs..potential..doesn't have the bikini lady ornament thou. Remember a few rally versions so red dirt rds should be no issue.

Yeah baby... just needs a 70's rainbow paint job and perfect. Even fit the coffee latte maker too for social beach gatherings.

Inappropriate wagons are all over sea breeze.

I saw one of these yesterday, recycled as a trail biker's wagon. Bargain, I think the company has changed the colour scheme for better resale.

The only cars ever to look good in pink were Cadilacs and Toranas.

You could put roof racks on this one? It's a fine line between inappropriate and cool. Yes a factory finish.

That looks like Octavia, which is on the same base as Golf, Superb is the same as Passat. Driven both in highest TDI versions throughout Europe on few occasions. No probs taking to 200+. Superb is very stable at that speed. I would almost say that Superb is on par with BMW 320d, we rented last time (if not better).

+1 for Outback, have one myself and the handling is superb (pun intended). Little small inside to fit windsurfing gear in but should be perfect for kites.

There is no reason to get down on Rolls Royce for being an inappropriate surf wagon, if it's good enough for the Duke, it's good enough for anybody. Check out his signature Vans sneakers that he's wearing, the man has style!
