( no, not you think, .. in broader definition it is not about race, cast or religion but separation in general)

The latest exchange with idiots online inspired me to another ingenious idea.

Introduction.

In real physical life , if you like to avoid companion of the suspicious credibility or mental ability individual we could just:

a) avoid places visited the most by such creatures

b) protect yourself and families with careful consideration of your real estate location ( as those mentioned above tends to clamp together into extensive districts of dubious reputation

c) send kids to private schools in order to avoid bullies interested more in altercation then education

d) avoid sports and social activities the most visited by imbeciles

and so on....

Problem
but

How to protect yourself in this virtual world, social network , where everybody could spit on anybody , interject into discussion without any merit , just for pure pleasure and purpose of bulling ?

Certain websites and forum present strict criteria to join in and sustain affiliation.
Other sites ( eBAy) allow to blacklist individuum to make sure never cross your business path

but how to protect yourself on the open forum from bullies?

Solution

In order to make sure that opposing vainly parties don't need to straggle in this internet worlds some sort of
segregation will be very helpful.
Purpose built filter , that based on your personal black list separate and isolates you from predatory bullies.
Now all comments made by your adversary remains filtered off for you.
Could be posted but still invisible to you.
In accordance to strategy that what you could not see could not hurt you ....

Ahhh. Problem is possibly more difficult that I previously imagined and my solution too inneficient...

.... so your comments and solution are welcome....

but all bullies , please filter yourself off - of this topic

Switch off computer, walk outside into fresh air. Better still, immerse yourself in some salt water using whatever recreational activity you please. Problem solved!

Adopt the play ground rules. Learn to deal with the bully and not let the comments hurt you. Build coping techniques.

I was talking to a taxi driver who suggested that toll ways on freeways and bridges was a way of excluding poor people from entering parts of the city or at least restricting their movements thus forming isolation and creating segregation.

Spleenometer: Everyone has to be attached to one to log in. When the spleen level reaches a critical level you are logged out and automatically administered a shot of Prozac.

That can be your next project.

An interesting problem that is not as simple as one might think!
Iv been impressed since being on this forum that there is little name calling and more just heated debate, which is great. However I would say you were targeted recently in a personal way that I would not agree with.
Debunking someone's ideas is fine and is a proven way of finding better answers, but I guess its easer for some to attack them instead of using sound logic to dismiss the idea or opinion that is put forward.
I don't like the idea of shutting someone out based on intellect or etc. for even the dumbest meat head can have a spark of insight that can be of worth!

Introduction

Macroscien posts some demented dribble that not even an 8 year old boy suffering from the worst form of ADHD would imagine in a drug induced dream.

Problem

Not only is the actual idea so demented but Macroscien also tries to use big words to make himself sound more intelligent but unfortunately has only a loose grasp of English, resulting in the dribble becoming drabble.

Somebody who Macroscien has never met then points out that either a) the idea is demented or b) it makes no sense or c) both a) and b)

Macroscien then starts crying

Solution

Everybody treat Macroscien like some sort of senile old uncle and next time this random unintelligible garbage comes up everyone just says 'there, there Macro, why don't I ask nurse to take you out on the veranda for some fresh air'. At which point Macroscien will forget all about what ever tripped-out rubbish was bouncing about his head and everyone can carry on as normal.

Ahhh

ARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHH

......loose grasp of English.....

You still don't get it?
My biggest achievement is actually invention of new Anglish
The language that native POM doesn't grasp at all but all other speaking nations understand in fly.
Now I should sell my patent to Black Barry as the best un crackable encryption code.

Now I could speak and write using ordinary mobile and computer equipment without the need to encrypting and securing transmission.

Message remains secure.

My next invention could be :
Anglish to English Google translator, This way minority English speaking world could communicate with majority speaking Anglish.
Easy, and works in short like that:
In the Option or Setting drop box you setup your IQ level . The allowed range is 20 to 80.
You mark copy and paste citation that needs translation.
Then the funny things happen. The world most powerful cloud supercomputer will try to adopt message to the form you will be able to understand. In the worst case scenario if your option is at bottom 20 mark computer could even draw the picture or translate message into comics pictorial story.

The next funny thing is that new Google translator needs only one way translation.

Lets try it:
I setup something especially for you my friend. Something in the middle of the scale.
I wonder if you could read translated message clearly now ?

Good. We we have the first ball running.

It works !

Macro,

Just out of curiosity, I'm wondering if you've been reading much Murakami lately?

No, but we have one at least in common. My first English book was also criminal novel ( although by Agatha Christie) and aversion to Nobel price as second ( because nobody offered me one yet. I could reconsider and change my mind on that one ) .

Btw Here is Google translation for Cranatoc what I just said.

To be fair I feel myself like a SuperForg right now fighting against vastness of obscurantism.

I don't think anyone should have a go at you for being a dreamer, and relating your ideas and dreams. I don't agree with that at all. I love hearing about your wacky ideas and the discussions around them. I'm behind you all the way there.

I, however, had a bit of a go at you when you decided to crash into the NBN thread and make all sorts of pronouncements about future technology in this country, current internet in this country, and the merits of various NBN plans. All of which fit your usual criteria which Carantoc described pretty well above.

Free, easy translation:
Your ideas are great, keep them coming. Just don't push them as real world solutions in an already heated debate.

Rule #1 of [mum's/dad's/older person's/inexperienced person's] Internet Ideas
It already exists.

But yes; one could build a browser plug-in specifically for SeaBreeze to hide all comments from a given list of users.

Also Rule #34
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rule_34_%28Internet_meme%29

I've yet to see rule #34 disproved.

In the 'Good Old days' of Network News, you could "killfile" someone so that you couldn't see their posts. The problem with that though is that other people would then quote those posts and you would see them anyway. On a moderated group where you get to choose what topics to look at, you shouldn't have to have this problem. There is also the freedom of choice of looking at a poster's name and choosing not to read their comments.

Easy!

OMG I hope no one sees this as stalking Macro. He seems very sensitive at the moment.
