Back in the 80's......Yeah, I'd kill to go!!!
Nowdays........the ringing in my ears for days after...not worth it!
"I got two tickets to Iron Maiden baby, come with me friday don't say maybe. I'm just a teenage dirtbag baby dada da da !!!
In an historic first, Iron Maiden, their 60-strong crew and support staff and over 12 tons of equipment will be travelling around the world en masse for the first leg of the tour in a specially commissioned and converted Astraeus Boeing 757 decorated with Maiden and Eddie designs!
cool plane
4th Feb, tickets will be around a hungee.
i saw them play in holland earlier this year. ****n awesome stage show. i just dont know if i could justify the money to see them again so soon.
i saw them at the fields of rock festival. awesome 2 day camping festival in a mud pit with more metal heads than i've ever seen in my life. oh and ozzy was there aswell. pity i tried to break my ankle the night b4 the bands began playing and had to sit down on the bank and watch the whole festival . was like 120 euro including camping on Fri sat and sun nights.
There are a lot of 'good old bands' reforming and touring asking a mottza for tickets - but IMHO to arrogant in their heyday to have toured Oz reguarly - yeah like their music, but their not getting my money just cause their wallets aren't as fat as it use to be! Maybe if THEY showed loyalty to there fans back then I would return the gesture. Its always been about the money!!!
Obviously you no very little about Iron Maiden Davman and never was a true fan.
They have been touring and releasing music since the 70's, not a case of reforming for the money. They are already very wealthy and don't need another tour to top up the coffers.
Also i don't call $100 a lot of money for a ticket nowadays. It's actually good value.
Check out ironmaiden.com to see what they do for their loyal fans.
Windy - I'm sure it will be a kick ass tour, especially the Perth concert as it's the first gig of their tour. Enjoy !
I for one will be there !!!
WA66 - true, I was never a big fan. Just curious how many times did they tour Oz in their hay day? If they toured here a few times then I stand corrected and have no problem in saying so. But my general comments stand for most reformed bands.
Toured 3 times.
As per many acts Perth missed out.
I agree with reformed bands a-la The Police, but Iron Maiden don't fall into that category.
I saw them play in Torino, Italy in the early 90's and they were awesome. The stage show is worth going to to see even if you're not a fan!
We met their roadies at Torino train station and tried to scam a job with them.....but no chance.....
One of life's missed opportunities
Have fun at the show[}:)][}:)][}:)]
