Welcome to the Gold Coast! If you can't buy your way out, just paint your boat/plane/ute/company a different colour

I witnessed a similar thing on the broadwater. The guy was dicking around with what looked like a BBQ at the back of the boat while doing 40 knots

That happened on the Columbian river, the same river that "the gorge" is part of. The guy that ran them down is saying that he wasn't on the cell phone at the time, but he couldn't see where he was going because he was sitting down and the raised bow blocks his view. Like is that supposed to be some kind of logical excuse? What a dick! He's now being sued for $372500, which seems very low to me, he should not be allowed to own anything bigger than a tiny open hull fishing boat, or no boat at all from now on, it's going to court. Those 3 are lucky to be alive. The gut at fault is 75 years old, so he should be dry docked anyway, way too much boat for him.

Only 75 and no doubt totally stable and like, smart. A very stable genius he might say.
