There is commonly accepted misconception that windsurfers are.
Now thanks to social media we could perform scientific study.
Lets do this quiz : Kiters and Polies are invited to send their scores. Then we could work out average of top 10 for each group.

Not really a fair test when most polers are really old and dont even know what facebook is, let alone can work out how to join it.

For once I'm almost in agreement with lotof.
There's such a variety in both camps and even a fair overlap with those who do both. This test is almost meaningless.

Apart from that as an octogenarian I don't feel "really old", and I know too well what facebook is, which is why I'll never join it.

I don't know who is smarter out of kiters and polies but I had a guy from the wakeboarding industry tell me once that kiters are way smarter than wakeboarders...

If we engage another test by comparing how difficult is their equipment to setup ( must be some correlation to IQ here ...) then bottom feeders could be SUPer, Just board and paddle to worry about. Not much to mix up here.
Wake-boarder seem to be genius here...able to convince another boat guy to pull them for hours, for free.

Macro, talk about walking into it. And i apologise in advance.

But given that you got run over by a bloke in a boat and it took 4 jet skiers rideing double and even using ropes to try capture me yet they still did not get me.

Id say kiters win.

So it goes
kiters,
psycho in a boat,
2 bogan jetski couples with ropes,
then windsurfer in that order.

You would have to wonder... one does a sport where they have to get the right wind conditions and rig the right size kite, and the other can rock up to a cable park and get going with no preparation in almost any weather condition.

That wake park at Baldivis has sucked me in! Ahhh... reliable "wind"

Its easy ,
Windsurfers are always smiling and look daggy.
Kiters seem to be grumpy and need to color match.
I only need to be smart enough to know that i want to smile

Seems in the forums the Windsurfers are the grumpy ones, on a per capita basis there are far more threads on the Windsurfing side bitching about kitesrs than the opposite...

From an intelligence perspective, as a kiteboarder I have seen a lot more stupid things done by kiteboarders than in the entire 35 years I have windsurfed...

Well case in point, silly old fart gets his words mixed up! How could you forget you're really a septuagenarian, not an octogenarian?

And yes death rates are high amongst my generation, but probably not while windsurfing.

And ...... kiters get bored of what there doing before they get old.
Whats the point of kiting once youve lost your youthful looks ?

Who is that girl? Is she meant to be a famous kiteboarder? You would think that she is an instructor at all kitesurfing schools, given that a lot of them seem to use her image for their websites.

Imagine my disappointment when I booked a lesson and instead of her there was some aussie guy running the lessons

There are at least 7 kinds of intelligence. Eg, academic, artistic, athletic, aesthetic, arguementive (KBD's specialty), body awareness, charismatic, diplomatic, financial, futuristic, so there are ten so far. Which particular one are we talking about here??

I am surprised that religious kind is missing on the list....
BTW I wonder in which category you classify following intelligence ?

I am torn between : aesthetic, athletics and sexual intelligence

as opposite to that one that have purely aesthetics value:

I had to pull this old forum up.
Today a Kiter with a euro accent ( couldnt pick where from ) came up to me while I was de rigging.
Polite guy and was asking about the conditions.
He noticed the tide was low ( and it was ) and said " is it this low always and is it because it's summer "
It was a big bay connected to the ocean.
I rest my case.

If you based the comparison on political smarts, you'd have to give it to the Polies??
