Sold!!!.... That's right my lovely Valkyrie is sold, but as always it's never straight forward with me.
I had been trying for awhile now and only last week I got serious and really started emptying her out and was just going to keep dropping that price until she has a new home.
After nine years and the privilege of cruising the coast I was ready to give her away as iv been more than repaid in memories from her, well I'm showing her to old men who can hardly get onboard and emailing arm chair dreamers too thinking oh poor girl who is going to have you next?
I had made a date for another viewing on Tuesday, the first in awhile when three more are lined up to look. Then Chris a 32 year old calls from The NT in love with her and wanting to see her. Well gee mate if you can't get away from work and you want to beat everyone to the post then just put the money into my account and take a leap of faith...
And like with my seawind cat last year she sold sight unseen, so on my word and some pictures Chris is the new owner of Valkyrie and she will serve him well on his trip around the world!!! That's the plan he has with his girlfriend, wow how lucky to be young and have such go in life.
Oh the price Cisco, $25,000.
A Bargain.

If that is what she sells for that is what she is worth. I hope it all works for you.

As long as Chris doesn't pay 'via paypal', you should be okay ;-)

I'm losing heaps on the deal but the memories are priceless, and I'm so happy she's going sailing again too.

I was talking about that scam where people offer to pay using paypal, and send you a bogus email instead that looks like paypal.

It seems to be very common where people buy something sight unseen or pay above the asking price.

^^^ oh I got ya! Yeah you would think you've been paid and hand over the goods. Hmmm, I'll have to watch that when selling on eBay.

I'm going to miss her...

It's a storm jib upside down and Allan Lucus calls them a 'mule' sail and I found it very good at stabilising in a rollie anchorage and trimmed right she had some pull being high up.
Thanks fellixdcat andnot as much cloth as you would think for 12 tons!
