Being Australia, I'm sure there is some old grand ma who has written some regulation about pool depth but I can't find it.
I want to build a pool that is 4m wide x 20m long and at it's max depth 5m, but I only need a small section to be 5m deep.
No gradient, just a straight drop off from 1.5m to 3m then 5m.
Can it be done?
Called a NSW pool builder... he said he's not aware of any depth constraints but it would exponentially increase the cost... North of $250k for a basic design to 3m depth.
It will make it cold. will take a lot longer to heat up come summer. U really want that? Mates dad likes cold pools so he made his deep. it was fkn freezing.
theres a pool at the top floor of a cairns apartment building. Prvatley owned. Sticks out several meters from the outside of the building with a glass floor and sides. So you are swimming 12 stories up with nothing below you. Would be great for skinny dipping with nude members of the opposite sex i reckon. Apparantly the whole apartment is soundproofed for the loud parties. Just goes to show you can do anything if you have the coin.
You could possibly drill a well, say 1-meter diameter.
I have something like that on farm, about 15 meters deep, square 2 x 2 meters
