it's the only other ""medium"" that levels me out and lifts my mood like a good session on the water can....struggling to find some new stuff though- does anyone know of a good place to get reviews of less mainstream music, surely there is a good site out there somewhere in internet land ?

I have a 17 hour drive to Corona so I am looking for plenty of the good stuff- Drum n bass-anything with a sweet female vocal like Jenna G or jumpup like Pendulum, oz hip hop- Hoods or Funkoars , funk- fdel or krafty kuts style....

A site where you can punch in the details of what you like and it can search for similar stuff would be amazing.

iTunes does all that with the Genius search.

Cheers guys- I have tried the genius option in itunes and googled my little heart out......Slam is an awesome track but I have bought everything I could find that Pendulum has released already and Genius has given me some pretty dud matches...

Just thought there might be something else out there thatI hadn't found yet.

I'm Loving the Album Everythinks a ripple by Dub_FX. It's Dub music rather than DnB, but it's sweet and I love DnB too and this definitely tickles my pickle.

Also, if you want something dark and nasty I like Adam F for DnB, and a bit of Baddest Ruffest by Backyard Dog. That should get you cranking.

you could try break beats aswell for example a couple of good artists are Noisia and hadouken ( basicly same band but different style) who brought out the coolest video ever

handy hint is that Itunes doesn't stock most dance, drum and base etc stuff because it's a much smaller market.
Also try www.beatport.com

Funny you should mention that, by the same mob:

Authors: www.literature-map.com/

Movies (and some tv shows): www.movie-map.com/

Although I did find both of these to have some pretty strange linkages in them (for my tastes anyway)

Disclosure: I have nothing to do with any of those websites...
