Point Break 2 is well into filming with Yallingup/Busselton lad Philip Boston directing the 2nd unit (action scenes). They we lucky enough to be in Hawaii on 22 Jan when the huge swell, the largest in four years, rolled in.

Ian Walsh, a big wave rider was double for Bodhi, and jagged a 40' ride.

So even if the film sucks there should be some good wave footage and if it's half as good as the first one, it'll be well worth a watch.

Never any doubt that Bodhi survived and made it onto the cliffs!

They did make some good movies back then

I'm sorry... we are talking about Point Break right? Torquay general store and he drives up on the wrong side of the road. Their attempts at Australian accents were appalling. Even a Kiwi could have done better

had to be one of the worst examples of 80's movies around. The surfing was ok but the rest was crap

1. It wasn't an 80's movie.
2. It was pretty awesome.
3. "Utah! Get me two!"

Yeah and Peter Phelps towards the end walking up the steps saying the waves worst in 50 years or something? He is Australian and even he couldn't put a decent Aussie accent in there.

BUT I still loved the movie man. The only thing close to this was Fast & Furious (RIP Paul).

Lol how can you not like F&F!! Sure its an unrealistic storyline, incorrect scenes (pistons in an rx7 engine, s2000's being fast) and fkn neons but i reckon just about every bloke left the movie and proceed to give his car a hard time

I was 13 when point break came out, time to torrent it

Great era for a young lad! Pamela anderson at her best, top gun and ferrari f40's!

C'mon man, Top Gun must be one of the all time gayest movies ever, even now I still try and lob my copy into my neighbours bins on bin nite but always find it in my mailbox the next day, perhaps they don't want to be associated with it either. Butt Pammy on the other hand Mmmmm.

So long as they find a role for a fat, insane-haired Gary Busey, I'll be happy.

Seriously, surfing and skydiving - how could that movie not have ruled?
