If only they had spent all that time fixing their emission problems...

So you have parking assist, reversing trailer assist, all you now need is sit down to take a wee assist

This could be a lifesaver

My brother in law used to tell me if a man couldn't back a trailer in 3 goes his penis would fall off.

Not sure if this is true

FFS seriously, still if it helps a woman reverse the boat trailer down the ramp then blokes will be buying them hand over fist.

Just move the top of the steering wheel towards the error.

When I bought my first rather large twin axle caravan it took me about 45 minutes to drive home after picking it up and almost three hours to reverse it into a somewhat narrow and confined spot alongside the house. It got to the stage where the next door neighbours who had gathered to view the new purchase went and got chairs so they could watch the performance in comfort. They were then joined by the neighbours across the street and those two or three doors up. Someone produced an esky and I ended up with about 30 half tanked pillars of wisdom advising me on what I was doing wrong.

After our first trip away I returned home, as the neighbours came out for the "encore performance" I disappointed them by nailing it first go, so after just a couple of minutes I was able to help myself to one of their cleansing ales.

I did not tell them that I had practised reversing it around an empty car park for hours a few days previously.

Now 8 years down the track I'm not too bad at it but still occasionally have problems. but I would have trailer reversing assistance fitted in a heartbeat if it comes up as an after market accessory.

It says something that nothing comes up in a search for "high speed box trailer reversing race" or variations of it on youtube. Surely you'd think someone out there had taken trailer reversing to the next level and posted on youtube? ( Semis don't count, the longer the draw bar the easier it becomes. )

Maybe there could be a windsurfing-trailer-reversing-alpha category in GPSteamchallenge for when the wind doesn't come in?

There used to be a mini-road train that did the rounds of country town agricultural shows here in W.A.

It was - literally - a mini road train - as it was based on a customised mini moke [as the prime mover] with a whole bunch of matching trailers hooked up behind it.

Much of the time, it was towing loads of kids around the show arena, but the REAL show was when the reversing competition started.

Every cockie, trucky and blokehad a go to see how far they could get before it jack knifed.

Some years ago, I saw the mini-truck and 2 remaining trailers at a country truck stop - loaded up with oil drums as a promotional display.

no idea where it is now.

With a draw bar that is 5x bloody longer than a box trailer, anyone who can't reverse a boat trailer should be shot to improve the gene pool.

I hope everyone is actually watching the video on the web-site. Hilarious stunt.

Good point, watch the video. I thought it was just some auto computer app like auto parking and didn't bother watching it either. Reversing on mirrors! Not easy. If the driver cranked his head out the window he could have gone even faster you'd think.
