Went looking for a wire coat hanger today to cut up and twist so I could hang a panel of lattice on the cyclone fence panel.

Nothing so low in our wardrobe, so ended up searching the 19 yo daughter's half a wardrobe.

Found what I wanted (not in use) and counted what was left (all in use).

There were 70 of them.

How does one deal with this??

Advertise cheap car aerials (removal of existing aerial & installation free) - and watch the boguns come a runnin' with their kingswoods & toranas.

Cisco, stop snooping through your daughters wardrobe.

You might find something you realy don't like.

70 coat hangers? pffft. Who cares.?

70 something elses?

And get your own supply of wire coat hangers. They are good for all sorts of things, including oxy welding rods.

If that is true, what is with all the clothing covering 90% of the floor?

Well at 19 she should be paying 100% of her clothes she buys
so if that is the case she will learn the hard way

But I suppose if she is paying 100% of her clothes she is probably not paying board?

Over xmas my brother told me that he walked into his 16yo daughter's bedroom to find a rubber thingy on the floor!

I asked him what he did about that...he said he turned around & shut the door.

Definitely she pays 100% for her clothes. If I was I would be in debtors prison by now!!

Mum is a soft touch and lets her get away with paying about 25% of what she should be paying in board.

I guess that would be fairly normal for most families but I don't want it to develop into a habit. Having a 30 yo daughter living under the same roof as I when I am 70 is not part of my plan.

Came home late one night with a bloke in tow and announced he was staying the night. I was floored and too embarrassed to say anything then.

Alone with her the next day I said, "That does not happen again. I don't want to hear my daughter humping in the next room at 3 am."

She did move out to live with a couple of her girlfriends for a bit over a month but couldn't handle it anymore when she picked up one of the others' towels from the bathroom floor and a shower of maggotts fell out of it.

So on a comparative scale I guess she is not too much of a grub.

With her general behaviour though I am considering renaming her.

"Miss Dominatrix" would be appropriate.

Why are you looking in a wardrobe for a metal coat hanger ? find a commodore or a falcon model between 1970-2011.. They come factory fitted !

Yep! That is where they can be found but the wardrobe was closer.

I am an inherently lazy bugger.

I seem to recall a coat hanger aerial twisted into a different shape on a car I saw the other day. It may have even been on the car of one of the inmates here. Thinking about it, a poor relative is probably just the type of person who would us a coat hanger for an aerial...

I love how SB threads start off on one topic and end up encompassing everything from teenage rumpy pumpy and (possibly) rubber toys to Oztraya aerials.

Something in there for everyone, but..

BTW - (serious qestion) do peeps from other countries fashion coathangers into national symbolism or are our boguns more artistic than most?
