The beginning of a new Star Wars trilogy will take place 30 years after Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. The new films will feature "a trio of new young leads along with some very familiar faces" (per StarWars.com).

The above is a statement, does anyone know anything about this. I could say I want to know cause I want to take the kids....... But seriously I want to see it. Star Wars was all time as a kid and I've heard it's been done on film like the originals.

not sure they'll ever recapture the magic of star wars and empire strikes back but finger crossed

pleeeeeeease let them pick good scripts and actors before special effects this time.....

Well it's gonna have to be better than the last lot, no Hayden Christenson for a start.

From what I heard they are using film with limited special effects to create an " organic" feel. Hope so with no ja ja binx

anything after the first 3 (four thru to six) was crap.
The 3 prequels were too much funny names, too many weird looking aliens - one of those sci-fi's where they overdo everything to make it as far away from 'normal' society as possible as they think that lends it some sort of credibility?. What they do to enrichen it, makes it overly complex and reliant upon costumes / effects rather than a good story an/or action / suspense etc.

Really don't rate them.

You could save the video in your profile, and if Jar Jar Binks is in it, you could ask Laurie to delete it.

What the originals achieved that the prequels lacked was the feeling of 'old tech'. Even though stuff was hi tech it was pitted, scarred and often worn out. This concept had never been explored in sci fi before.

It's a real pity Lucas regressed in his movie making and story telling.

I actually liked the last 3 episodes, I found JaJa stupid but a little funny. I found the story line ok, certainly gave a good intro for the animated series.

Ep 3 was abit drawn out but still good visually. I'm not young so I understand the original 3 but technology, special effects and just the fact more is going on made them quiet good viewing and more interesting to me, like you almost have an invested interest as star wars is like a part of life in a unspoken sense.

People expect grand things from old designs and unless your ready for a 240pixle movie nothing in your mind will out-do a good memory.

Everyone will have a different opinion on this one.
4 was average, 5 was horrible but 6 was awesome, look forward to some more space adventure.
