Went to buy my coke supply and on bottom shelf saw as per photo.
This price tag is located at the start of 2 boxes of coke towards the left and 2 boxes of red coke boxes to the right.
No other pricing under the red coke boxes existed.

So as it stated "Any 2" I picked up 2 red boxes.
At checkout was charged $56 so I put them back on the shelf after a bit of discussion.
While in small print it stated the deal this is not clear until one gets down to almost floor level.
I was also advised that ticket prices as per policy need to be at the start of a product
Looking around the shop this did not seem consistent.
What should I do now eg, just suck it up, fill in complaints form or what

This kind of stuff is annoying but my suggestion is to move on with life.

I'd hate to be in my last hours of life, wanting just one more day to do something special, knowing in the back of my mind I wasted a day worrying about price tags in a supermarket!!

Stop drinking the crap, your body will thank you, you'll be better off financially, and you won't have to spend any time complaining

So a product was on sale with a price tag and you took the product next to it and assumed it was also in sale? Hmmm. What to do?

It was as much use as the original post, the price tag was almost on the floor because the product was also almost on the floor, the price tag also tells you what the special applies to. Even with an out of focus photo I can read it.

Most people would just suck it up and move on, but to be helpful, Twitter is the social media platform for this. The supermarkets wont monitor Seabreeze but if social justice in the soft drink aisle is what you're after then Twitter is the place to be, you're guaranteed to get a response from someone empathetic to your cause.

Without knowing anything I'd guess they're trying to give away the awful green stuff because no one wants it.

Have you consulted a lawyer. If you don't get a ruling in court that you are entitled to discounted product, you should at the least be able to sue for PTSD.

Like shopping for a new jacket . Found one I liked and the the free standing clothes rack said 30% off... bargain

Except when I got to the counter It was explained that 30% off was only for the clothes at the other end of the rack WTF!
I looked around and there were clothes racks all over the store the same, all stating 30% off with no definition between each end of what was on sale and what wasn't. Liked the jacked so I bought it anyway. Still it was misleading and I lost out on a potential saving of $50.

I wonder how many people were caught out the same

You blokes are a bit harsh. He said no pricing existed under the 2 boxes of red Coke.

Yeah its fk all in life and get over it, point taken.... but the reason there are laws are to stop deceptive pricing. You'd be living in la-la land if you didn't think supermarkets deliberately mislead or at least claim ignorance of the rules (and its all an accident when they get caught out)

The reason is for those who might do a $500 grocery shop and not realise they got stung $56 instead of $28. Or when u send the kids to get it. Or for those who no speaka Englee good. Women. Multitude of reasons.
Anyway I reckon in the absence of pricing for the normal Coke I reckon they should have honoured the price. The tag was under a product by the same company, not the cordial, it was under a Coke product.

Crosstep's one is a good example, it has to say "on specially marked items" if the sale and non-sale items are mixed in. They did that deliberately for sure.

Like my Dad found a petrol pump that read about 50c or so before any petrol came out. The servo didn't give a sh!t.
So he rang the weights and measures people at Consumer Affairs, those people who apply the little certification stickers to the pumps and test them every year or so. They said they no longer did that as the public didn't want it. Who says? Who public? I want it to be right....

Yeh, it's not quite right, a bit ambiguous, maybe intentional. But, it wasn't under the red stuff and the sign does clearly state, (in small writing) what it applies to. Be aware, be cunning, don't believe someone is going to send you $5 million and it's less likely you get screwed.

1) Stop drinking the Sh** I had a coke habit in uni that lasted until my early 30s and cost me a lot of teeth as well as many more $ to save what was left.

2) Have you seen the people that put those tags out in the isles? They are just normal bottom of the rung workers, they don't hate you...
