Not really funny, but this satellite shot does show the extent of the devastation from the recent SW bushfires....
That long dark patch is the Darling Scarp and the bush of the South West Region. For a comparison the square patch bottom right is a 1000 sqkm nature reserve and the Yarloop fire was somewhere around 2/3 of that size.
