Hmmmm, yes Im personally learning this all to well.

Im in the process of finishing a diploma and Im not sure I like TAFE's current scoring process of pass or fail, no more no less.

It's become a bit of a running joke in class how I will thoroughly research projects in accordance to the marking criteria and others will just scribble on loose bits of paper yet we all pass with the same grade , makes it really hard to justify giving it your best.

A couple of years back I took over the running of the local netball competition. I decided that instead of everyone getting a trophy, you would only get one if you made it into the finals, and everyone else would recevie a rather small and non-descript participation medallion on a ribbon. Everyone I spoke to about what I was going to do said they understood my point, but that I would upset a lot of people and get lots of complaints. Most people only found out that they wouldn't be getting a trophy on the presentation day. Out of a few hundred families in the competition, I got ZERO complaints, and DOZENS of thank you's.

There are 12 dots but you can't see them all at once.

It's a rod and cone receptor thing... that's not working quite right... the idea is that you can't see the black dots with cone receptors... in peripheral vision...

You're just seeing the same ones twice.
