Preferably not the turbo I've done one once on a diesel and was not cheap but eventually everything that moves will fail from wear and tear i suppose and the small diesels can get a bit of a flogging being work cars and used a lot for towing.

Maybe the engine being blown is what you mean.

Blown Turbo

Blown Engine

the bigger issue is the word navara. once you fix the turbo you should replace the navara with something less shxt

Check all the hoses first .
Could be a split hose that will give you low turbo boost .
Make you think the turbo is blown .

Its whining like mad. Coming back from Mandurah on Sunday and the whine went mad turned into a knocking. Nursed her home from Russel rd.
Engine sounds fine when turning over but nasty noises from turbo now and oil has pissed everywhere from it.
Hopefully everything else is good and just the turbo but as the man with the great tits says they are renown to be a bit ****ty,......

Pretty easy to swap over a turbo, garrett or borg warner both good, ebay at a pinch or if you selling soon. Careful with the oil, cars love catching fire when pumping out oil at the turbo. Navara or patrol forum be better bet for advice/best mechanic.
