What a sight!
Wonder why they quit? The Russians are going to run the bus service to the space station I heard and their technology is even older than the NASA's??
Was too expensive for the Yanks I guess?

Shearwater is no longer safe for windurfers
watch for speed boats, jet ski, jet boats, yachts , kiters, sharks and dolphins, nets and fishing rods, landing and starting aquaplanes , flying parchutes, kayks ,swiming dogs and kids
and now starting jets ?

but on other side is completely different story, no missile is able to catch up with space shuttle ( I hope , but I am not absolutely sure )
I heard that SS is the fastest flying object (but that need verification also )

Yeah I think its too expensive though apparently the US military's airconditioning bill in Iraq is bigger than NASA's whole budget.

Incredible photo. Sad how that bad things in America are dragging the good things like NASA down. It used to be NASA was the best place to work at in the world. Now all the NASA workers are getting the sack.

The shuttle never really achieved its goals of being a cheap reusable vehicle to get stuff into orbit. Perhaps improving technology will allow NASA or some other organisation to achieve that goal.
