Damn those things are moving...
As an amusing aside that video could be used to charge the fliers, as they are operating too close to people on the sideline.
Then again, the greater crime in my mind is uploading a 360p video in 2015
Although it does sound a lot like Formula 1 car racing with the volume turned down, it's not really a great spectator sport.
I bet they would go faster if the drivers wore Lycra,.. or Spandex.

Then you should watch that one. Since uploaded 3 years ago, today prototype should be fully functional.
The only question , who will use it first. We chasing ISIS and Taliban or they us (?)At least no partent could say to their kids , there wasting time playing 3D games on computer. There just training to become professional soldiers.
^^^ and the recoil of a mild mannered pistol cartridge upsetting the hover in the first vid, is precisely what made all gun nuts laugh at the second when it came out.
Fake.

Fake.
Can any gun could be design in such way that don't have recoil? Or they do exist already ? For example by redirecting some gases or force in opposite direction to bullet ? Sorry I am not gun specialist , so question could be naive...
Anyway I imagine that in few years time even with recoil, computer could compensate and redirect barrel into target even in fully automatic mode, so gun will swivel in same way the video camera do now on this drones..At this moment only few quite big caliber recoil-less riffles are available. too big for small drones I am affraid

Metal storm low recoil?

Whoow You are right.
And we are again in Brisbane . Maybe we could make here another Giga Factory to manufacture future weapons, armed drones .
Then forget about defective Raptors F-35

But before that I would like to see our Brisbane champion visiting Wellington Point and taking some video footage on a windy day
with his drone.
He should be able to keep up with our windsurfers along speed bank.
Metal storm is not recoil-less
Just rooly fast.....
Macro, most recoil=less systems add such complexity and thus weight that they'd ruled out for drone use.
Muzzle brakes to reduce felt recoil only take a rifle down to piston level at best. See how much the Glock knocks the drone around, in full auto that is 100x worse and is almost impossible to compensate for.
Geez, even real planes have limits on how long they can fire a full auto cannon for as it slows airspeed drastically,.

Says you with NBN at home
That looks like camera phone footage that's been stabilised. Pretty useless for following fast moving objects...
for military purporses the drones them selves would be the projecties carrying a small charge would be cheaper disposable option.
why try to aim a gun which costs more than the drone itself when you can pilot the drone in with a lot more precisision.

Works the other way too....
WW2 British Coastal Command aircrews flying AVRO Ansons were woefully under-gunned, with only 1 x fixed .303 machine gun in a wing, 1 x .303 Vickers drum fed machine gun in the mid turret.
They were up against Messerschmitt's with multiple machine guns and cannon.
The Anson crews "borrowed" a heap of weaponry from a ship that ran aground near their base.
Before long they were bristling with assorted belt fed goodness - and poking out the bottom of the fuselage was a rearward facing magazine fed 20mm cannon
Firing off the mag. gained them another 5 knots or so - and scared the bejeezus out of the pursuing jerry pilots
As for recoilless weaponry - how about strapping something like these under a drone?

First world problem #538: I'm still waiting for a retail gigabit plan offering, because 100mbit isn't fast enough - sigh...
