Sometimes you can't believe the things you read, literally mind-boggling. I hope he gets destroyed by the judge, then the boys inside. Quote below;

After the crash he doesn't help, instead pulls out phone and films dieing police officer, He allegedly told her: "There you go. Amazing. Absolutely amazing. All I wanted to do was go home and have my sushi. Now you've f****ed my f***ing car."

Before exiting the scene, wow.

Bring back public stonings!!

Would be my preference, justice and satisfaction

What really bothers me about this is that four fully qualified police officers stood on a freeway and turned their back to the traffic. Years ago I was pulled over on a highway, I drove a kilometre or two to find a safe place to get off the road, then the officer pulled up on the running lane and said it's ok I've got the do anything lights on. It's that level of complacency that has contributed to this tragedy. With five hundred accidents per year in Australian emergency lanes

Must be something about that name Preston
If you gave the Bobbys a bit of **** they'd take turns
At shift changeover to give you a good slap in uk Lancashire, just up the road in
Southport my hometown, they'd try and kill you
Sometimes they did, discipline and respect, you wouldn't last a day in those station's back then if you carried on like this twat

Driving south on the freeway this afternoon a copper pulled someone up on a bend.

The idiot had finished with him and the idiot he pulled up pulled out in front of me. I was doing roughly 100ks in a 110 zone and had to brake sharply.

You'd think the f^ckers would learn.

Only the toughest of the tough were assigned to Preston Police Station back the day.knew it well.
Basically three groups of displaced persons were moved there to housing commission . Those from Camp Pell , Those moved out of the slums of Richmond and Little Chicago mob.
Home of the Kane Brothers. I remember the time the coppers raided a Party . I met Les.....

The death of four police is a terrible tragedy, and this guy is clearly an A-grade twat...but isn't the connection between these two unassailable facts fairly tenuous?

Some of the media coverage seems to imply that it was his fault...but how can that be so?

Yep there were tough men outside the cop shop but tougher men inside. One of my ears is still ringing after 30 years.

A cop mate of mine tells this great story about being posted to Preston as his first gig and the senior sarg. told him to "interview" a local crim. After politely asking some questions the crim said. "I'm not saying anything unless you give me a bashing". The senior obliged. He said the crims were more terrified if they didn't get beaten up because the other crims would think they were chatty with the jacks and give them a bigger beating!!!

Well actually it was ultimately his fault for speeding . But its not about the death of the four police but this persons actions after, abusing a dying woman for wrecking his car and missing out on sushi , filming the dead ,not rendering any assistance, walking off ,refusing to go to police until the following day, submitting an incorrect phone with the excuse last time it took him 12 months to get back and having the temerity to post he was hoping to avoid a ticket!!!

^^^Ultimately, on that logic, it's his parent's fault for failing to have an abortion.

Remind me most recent trap setup on sharp bend at motorway exit.
I hit the cruise control to slow from 100 to marked 80 but before even car slow down there was police car inside this narrow tunnel already pointing laser then jump into their cruiser and force me to stop in similar place you never want to risk.
Mercedes cruise control is not equipped to brake that speed instantly, specifically on busy motorway traffic. Then placing patol car is such place will ask for disaster, never mind forcing me to stop at the place where no one should, unless really , really something brake up terribly. Setting intentionally traps that only increase traffic incident risk should be disallowed. Like popular here 80km on straight motorway stretch with mobile camera only excuse and reason. It may looks that to this Victorian disaster all three parties may contributed equally.
Story of the truck driver is still unknown but already looks murky.

The guy is a complete oxygen thief and deserves some rough up coming soon.
However he is not guilty for the accident itself.

Cops were juniors dealing w the situation. Obviously they were in a too exposed location, after been breathalized, drug tested and sneeking out for a pee, officers had plenty of time to move from that area, or blocked a lane 500m behind (this wouldnt avoid the accident but alert them a out of control semi was approaching).

Coincidence or global conspiracy against police? Mulitple reports from many countries showing this same scheme- unprovoced attack on police .
