For those not yet aware, our dear seabreeze friend and lead conspiracy theorist petermac33 was involved in a rather nasty accident during the course of the week.

Whilst doing what (im sure) he loves doing, Pete got run down by a boat on the Swan River. He got knocked unconcious in the process, and sustained some rather nasty injuries to his head, wrist and leg. He's survived the episode, but he's going to be down for quite a while. The details of what occured are still quite sketchy, but theres a thread here:

www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Windsurfing/Western-Australia/Swan-River-Accident?page=2#10

with what we know so far.

My mate Whitey76 has started a go fund me page to try help Petey out, he's a contract worker and an accident like this is going to hurt financially as well. There's a link to it in Whiteys 2nd post on the thread.

Wishing Pete a speedy recovery. He has some very strange and entertaining ideas, but he's a really nice fella in the flesh.

$5000 will buy a lot of vegetarian pizzas. No wait, maybe a vegetarian pizza is a flat earth at the quantum level ?

He knows too much.

...

Speedy recovery mate. We all love ya, ya crazy bugger!

From sailing on the Gold Coast many years: always give other vessels the right of way.
Even though they don't actually have the right of way they are far bigger and stupider than you are.

Indeed... Australia Day weekend, leaving Elizabeth Quay, I watched as a skipper of another boat (about 8m) gesticulating and then speeding up to cut off the vessel I was in... even though the vessel I was in had Right of Way (on his right/starboard)... oh .... and was the TransPerth Ferry.
5 short blasts of the horn from Ferry Captain... and other boat decided to give way...

When muppets are trying to assert a non-existent right of way over Ferries... what hope do windsurfers have...

Speedy Recovery Pete!
