I'd like to discuss a grand unified theory where special relativity and quantum mechanics fit together properly.

I think pineapple should ask for a refund on his hecs. For someone to complete a degree in electrical and electronics engineering and not know which way current actually flows is mind boggling. www.mi.mun.ca/users/cchaulk/eltk1100/ivse/ivse.htm
There are certain devices that are far easier to explain using electron current theory. The still teach conventional because electricians aren't always that bright, and in design I guess

That a good start for our after hours high school class.
I have just some info - could be a bit outdated already- since already 19 hours old since discovery.
In short everybody was wrong and some currents don't go left or right, just spin around.

No Marco. That's photons and with a superconductor
We're not talking about currents given off as photons spin. We're talking about the flow of current in an electrical cct through a conductor.

For those beginers that don't know yet :
This is electric drill.

Yeah you could post a picture of a sex toy, or you could just say " I was wrong"

That is practical test all electrician graduates needs to complete:If you pee on electric line. If current flow:

a) from your penis to the electric cable

b)from electric cable to your penis

c)doesn't flow
Warning! Mistake could be painfull

Did you actually read the link you posted?

Or are you just unconventional?

My old Comp. Sci. teacher had the best quote in the world, it was:

I love standards, there are so many to choose from.

So I guess you could go around telling everyone that they're wrong, and try to get everyone to change. Oh wait that's what you're doing. Perhaps you might want to get the standard symbol for a transistor to change as well, because as everyone knows, the arrow points in the direction that current flows. Oh, and change the symbol for a diode while you're at it.

Or you could do what everyone else does, which is to smile knowingly whenever you use "conventional" current, understand that it's backwards, but use it anyway because it's far less confusing when everyone agrees on the one standard.

Current moves at 50% to 99% C.
Electrons move (drift) somewhat slower than the walking speed of an ant.

I don't believe it is flow of electrons at all.

It is the absence of flow of protons.

Free your mind and you will see the MSM has been fooling you.

So it's true then. Voltage is analogous to water pressure.
Well who would have thought?

I may have been drinking when I posted that.

1. I should have said general relativity.
2. I don't remember posting it.

Still, I wouldn't mind discussing it - with someone who knows what they're talking about, because I don't. The last thing I remember from the last Brian Greene book I read was something about space possibly turning inside out at scales below the Planck length.

Where is Greenroom anyway, haven't seen him around for a while?
