While setting up for kiting, we had a Visit from the boys in their Hercules - with a few low level bog laps ha ha at Cottesloe beach. Awesome and very cool to see up close :)
My immediate thoughts were..
Must be one of the guys gettin hitched, or
They spotted a few Pointers at Swanborne and needed a second look
Then dissapeared mysteriously in this photo ha ha
Was a great show in deed, they flew about 20m right above our heads while we were setting up in Pinnas.
Then around 5:30, 3 RAC choppers heading south side by side flew over me while I was kiting, I reckon they were not much more than 10 meters above my kite which had 30m lines, slightly stressful...
Funny how you said it was "some boys" flying over in their Hercules. I was teaching a very cool girl to kite last week. I asked her what she did for a living. She said she was in Air Force. Oh, I said...what do you do? She is a pilot, and flies the Hercules. Classic! She was tiny too. She could handle a kite straight away. Very capable young woman.
I once gave a lift to a chick who had broken down on the way to kitestock, she was a RAAF pilot, super cute as well
Haa yes - When I was a trainer, I trained Australias first pre and post pregnancy airforce Pilot - they had no idea what to do with her as prior, no one had ever been pregnant flying before - male obviously...
I cant figure out why they feel the need to do the 30second "Hangtime test"
At 20,000 ft I guess it will save you if hangin outside the cockpit window ha ha

He's cheating - there's a wind deflection door infront of him. (It's one of those Airbus-built tansports, innit?) .
